St. Louis Nick Lindwedel worked in the cellular business for the past 12 years and found the same common complaint of most customers. A) Cell phone bills were impossible to understand… and B) people hated “dealing” with their cell phone carriers.
What started as a simple service offered to customers of reviewing their current cellular bill became today’s ReviewMybIll.com. The original bill review was nothing more than Nick sitting there with a calculator, pen and paper and knowledge of how to read a bill and knowing the available plans. It wasn’t until a programmer friend explained to Lindwedel that there was a lot easier way. Considering there was a repeating process on every bill many of the steps in doing a bill review could be automated. After a year and a half of trial and error the final program was complete .It interfaced directly with the billing software of the cell phone carrier and was able to give an estimated savings right on the spot in aprox 90 seconds.
The business itself is a “no brainer”. A business visits our site and finds out how much is being overspent… to start the savings they authorize the Shared Savings Agreement. RMB then contacts the carrier and make all the needed changes for client billing them our onetime fee only after the first month of savings is seen.
The biggest hurdle with calling on businesses is the headaches related with cellular that customers have already had. It appears that the second the word “cellular” is mentioned many businesses hide behind a “we don’t wanna switch carriers” or “our bill is as low as possible”… Not realizing that there is NO switching carrier or contacting carriers on their part and ReviewMyBill.com has yet to find an account that they have not been able to lower.
